Perfection Positive: We have never stayed in a cottage before and we didn't know what to expect. I left the family in the car as I unlocked the door and took a quick peek inside. I turned to my partner and said, "I did gooooood!" She went inside and was absolutely blown away by how beautiful it was. The decor, furniture, and all the little ornaments and trinkets made you feel at home. We've never stayed somewhere that had "everything" you could possibly need. We always found ourselves saying "Oh its a shame they dont have X or Y." This cottage has every appliance, utensil, cooking equipment that you'd need. The layout of the cottage flowed fantastically well, from a huge kitchen area to a cosy living room. We found ourselves connecting more as a family, choosing to spend quality time together in such a cosy environment. The cottage had board games and puzzles, which is lost on the youth of today! I found that to be a lovely touch. The cottage encouraged closeness and togetherness. We came away feeling closer as a family. The bedrooms and bathrooms were decorated beautifully, and the beds provided a wonderful night's sleep. The neighbours were friendly, and we didn't feel like we were invading their space so to speak. We felt like we were supposed to be there. The locals were kind and welcoming. Whilst walking the dog, everyone we came across was friendly. The children felt safe walking the dog by themselves. There were lovely areas to walk the dog by the river. Plenty for her to sniff and explore. The location itself meant we were only a short drive away from the coast, and everything was just so easily accessible. It has by far been the best place we have had the pleasure of staying. Negative: There shouldn't be anything to put in this box. If there was one thing, one smallest of touches that I can think of is cooking oil or fry light. The property was kind enough to provide salt and pepper, and the only thing that caught me out was cooking oil. That is the pettiest, smallest thing I can think of. It's not one of those things you think of whilst shopping. It's something you remember when you're running out of it!

Positive: Good location, quiet village setting, Near to pubs/restaurants and a shop. Ten minutes drive to Scarborough. Lovely clean cottage with all the facilities you would expect. Negative: The two bedrooms were at opposite ends of the cottage with their own separate staircase. Although probably ideal for couples and families with older children it was not suitable for a six year old. One of us had to sleep in the twin bedroom each night as we couldnt leave them at the opposite side of the cottage with two flights of stairs between us.

Relaxing, fun & value for money Positive: The property was easy to find and peaceful. It was a good location for exploring te whole area. The Cottage was very comfortable and felt relaxing Negative: If I have one suggestion I would say the cooking pans need to be increased, and this is purely as a person who loves to cook and with a wealth of local produce its a great opportunity.

Comfortable but...... Positive: The cottage is in a nice central village location, it is quiet and comfortable, but with a bit more thought it could be a lot better. Negative: The welcome pack was very minimalistic four tea bags, four sachets of coffee and a pint of milk isn't that welcoming. The cottage isn't that dog friendly you can't let you dog out the front even though the neighbour does and It has a very small claustrophobic backyard if you have the back door open you can hear the neighbours around you with their dogs barking. When we arrived there was a winter duvet on the bed. Not great for the summer in 26 c the letting agent did replace this when pressed, but we were initially told the summer duvet was at the dry cleaners. Some soft furnishings would be nice, especially for the seats outside. The cottage is comfortable but could be a lot better with less notices pinned around the house telling you what you can't and shouldn't be doing

Close by to all areas, Whitby, Goathland, Bridlington, Filey, Scarborough. Positive: Style, cleanliness, and the very comfy bed, also the peace and quiet Negative: Liked everything about the property
